Anthony, Ricky & Meana

Hello,

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We are humbled and pleased in your choice to view our profile. We have dreamed of beginning this process and are ready to create a loving home for your child. Ricky, who was adopted at age 1 and 1/2, understands how important being placed with a loving and caring adoptive family is and we are ready to give that wonderful gift back. We plan on many nights of rocking the baby to sleep, wonderful family vacations, going to the park, visiting the zoo, playing sports, making art, creating music, and endless games.

We are choosing an open adoption for many reasons. We know it is important to have adoption questions answered in a truthful and honest manner when dealing with an adopted child. It is what has given Ricky acceptance, understanding, growth and maturity growing up as adopted child. We wish the same for your child and look forward to making the openness work for the level you are most comfortable with.

Bridging the Gap

One of the greatest advantages an adopted child can have is connecting their past and present to create a complete future. The path may not be easy at times but knowing where you came from and where you are going can help a great deal.

Our Life Together

Since meeting we have been inseparable. We were both raised with strong ethical and moral values and we look forward to expanding on those with our family. We will continue to fill our home with love, understanding, kindness and respect for others.

Anthony brings clarity, decisiveness and constant fun to our relationship. He is one of the most responsible people I have ever met yet retains all the amazing youthful qualities we, as humans, aspire to keep in our adult lives. He is the most enlightened, growth oriented and nurturing person I know. - Ricky

Ricky brings a sense of patience and understanding to our relationship. He is my best friend and my companion and acts as my foundation throughout all of life’s curves. Each stage in our journey together is an amazing adventure and I look forward to the prospect of expanding our family. - Anthony

Our Neighborhood

Our Home

We are fortunate to own an amazing home in a neighborhood with a close knit, small town community just minutes away from all the excitement of a large city. We share our space with two adorable rabbits, Buster and Patches, who get tons of attention at the park, which is blocks away from our home.

During our free time, we like to explore our neighborhood whether its packing a picnic and attending an outdoor concert in the park or shopping for fresh organic produce at the local farmer’s market. We especially like to host friends and family with a homemade meal and great conversation as well as our friends’ children over for Game Night.

New York

Education: There is a great school, two blocks from our home, that is regarded as one of the finest elementary schools in the country. Reading and Math scores rank with 5 out of 5 stars, meaning students meet the state standard exceeding the 80 percentile mark!

Family & Friends

Ricky

I (Ricky) grew up as an adopted child so I know how important a stable home environment is. My birthmother was pregnant at an early age and concluded that she was not yet ready to start a family. I admire and thank her for making the best decision for me as I look forward to giving that same gift back as an adoptive parent.

My adoptive father was integral to my adolescence. Through him I am blessed with three amazing younger brothers. I changed their diapers, got up in the middle of the night to rock them to sleep, got muddy teaching them how to ride bikes, played games and continued to be the older brother figure even after leaving for college. Needless to say they are very happy for Anthony and me and look forward to becoming uncles. We look forward to having 2-3 kids of our own one day as well!

Anthony

I (Anthony) grew up in Brooklyn with my brother Mike, who lives nearby and works at a hospital blocks away from our home. It is always a pleasure to have him stop by before or after work and on weekends for dinner with our friends.

Being raised in the city has given me a great sense of community, cultural acceptance and drive to become successful in such a competitive environment. I would love to afford a child these benefits, although spending time with my family in PA gives us great appreciation for country life as well.

Our Weekends

Every weekend, we start and end with great home cooked meals. We always plan some activity whether it’s going to the beach, our local park, bike riding or visiting family and friends.

Why Travel is Important:

Integrating yourself into a culture for a day, week, month or even a year can be an amazing learning experience. Anthony lived in Italy for a year while in graduate school and got to be a part of his Italian family, history and culture. Ricky’s realized dream of being in 2 Broadway Tours took him to 40/50 US states. We would love to encourage & teach our child to follow their dreams!

There could be nothing more important than beginning this process with an open and honest heart. If you decide to choose us, know that everything we have already learned about being in an adoptive family gives us a base of strength from which our family will continually grow and prosper. Your child will have a home filled with unconditional love, a family full of acceptance, and friends for a lifetime. Thank you again for considering us. We look forward to talking with you, please call us through Friends In Adoption at 1-800-844-3630.

Sincerely,

Ricky & Anthony
