Hi,
we are honored to be one of the families that you are considering for an adoption
plan.We cannot imagine how trying this time must be as you determine what decision
is right for you and your child. As parents who have had the wonderful experience
of adopting a few years ago, we know first hand that adopting a child is a truly
amazing gift that would not be possible without the selflessness of birth parents.
For that reason we wanted to share a little bit about ourselves and tell you that
if we are so blessed to be given the opportunity to parent your child, we can
assure you that your child will always know how loved they are and how much respect
and admiration we have for you. |
About
Us We have been married for six years. We met through a mutual friend eight
years ago and after a short friendship we realized we were meant to be together. We
have been fortunate enough to have spent the last eight years building our life
and family together. Our marriage is based on friendship, love and respect. we
have always wanted to share our life with children |

we
were blessed with the gift of a beautiful little girl… whom we adopted 3
˝ years ago.We have enjoyed a semi-open adoption since that time and we have maintained
a willingness to have even more communication when or if her birth parents would
like to.We often incorporate Sophia’s very special birth story when we have story
time and we know that she will have a stronger sense of self because we have been
able to relay to her the love her birth parents have for her. Sophia will always
know how loved and special she is. |

Christa
by Paul She is very open and honest and a great role model for Sophia. From
the beginning of our relationship I knew Christa was the right person for me,
especially when she displayed an openness to try the things I enjoyed the most
– including skiing! I love watching Sophia and Christa interact with each other.
Christa has a good sense of humor and has the ability to not only have fun but
can keep us on schedule and set good examples for Sophia. Christa is also athletic
and enjoys running, tennis, and being outdoors. She is a fan of soccer and played
in college, passing along her techniques to Sophia – starting with ball dribbling.
Between Sophia and Christa I’m not sure which one has more energy as they can
both keep going strong all day long… Christa is a warm,
wonderful wife and mother |

was a juvenile probation officer for nine years. What she loved most about her
career choice was the chance to work with adolescents and their families. Later
when Christa made a career change, she continued to work on behalf of children
but in different capacities: First as a Court Investigator for abused and neglected
children in the Juvenile Court and then as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Probate
Court. |
Presently
Christa is a stay-at-home mom. She is thankful every day for the opportunity to
spend more time with Sophia, who is changing and growing all too quickly. Christa
feels blessed that she can spend her days at home – playing, baking or having
play dates with Sophia. Sophia has embraced her role as mommy’s (Christa’s) big
helper. They enjoy playing hide and seek, kicking the soccer ball and reading
together. their favorite motto is “team work” | Sophia

Paul
by Christa Paul is an amazing father and husband. He is fun-loving, happy
and always positive. He works hard but he always makes time to be with Sophia
and me. In fact, we both know that he would rather be with us than anywhere else.
As a family we spend time kayaking, snow shoeing, hiking, and riding bikes.
Paul is a capable athlete but he prefers to teach and share rather than compete,
which we love. He can’t wait to give Sophia the opportunity to learn how to golf,
ski and play tennis. We know these will all be things we can enjoy as a family
even if Sophia and I choose to drive the golf cart instead of playing. : ) We
love to travel to and explore new places with Sophia and we have been fortunate
to take her to many great places already. loves nature

Sophia
loves to read and play. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with her friends.
She loves to climb on her swing set and ride her bike and play every kind of ball. Sophia
gets so excited with each holiday, from Easter egg hunts to Thanksgiving feasts.
She loves to help us decorate the house and help us cook and prepare for our large
family gatherings. Sophia especially enjoys spending time with her fifteen
cousins. She is the third youngest and is loved and adored by all of them. She
gets so excited when they have a sleepover.Whatever it is we are doing, Sophia

Home We
live in upstate New York in a community with a wonderful school district and a
lot of great cultural and educational opportunities. Within a few hours we can
be in NYC or Boston and within an hour we can be in the beautiful Adirondacks.
We have taken Sophia to various museums, musicals and plays and we were
amazed at how mesmerized she was during the performances. She also loves the local
library programs and checking out her very own books. It is a wonderful
and safe neighborhood to raise our children and Sophia loves all the kids. |
our
neighborhood is full of children and great families |

Who
is having more fun on Sophia’s swing set? | We
have a small camp in the Adirondacks and we spend the majority of our summer enjoying
the lake with family and friends. Other family members also have homes near ours
which allows us to spend a lot of quality time with grandparents, aunts, uncles
and cousins. Sophia loves to go to the lake and take boat rides, kayak, swim,
or just play in the sand with her cousins. Having a child in our life makes
everything we have and everything we do so much more enjoyable.

Family
We have seven siblings and fifteen nieces and nephews between us. We try to attend
as many soccer games, baseball games, ballet recitals and birthday parties as
we can. Sophia has as much fun as we do cheering on her big cousins. we

we have immediate family not just in New York and Massachusetts – but also in

her cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. Although we have not yet
met Sophia’s newest cousin Aiden, we have been able to talk to him via the web
cam and Sophia gets so excited to see baby Aiden. She wants to know when we will

We
have such admiration and respect for you as you consider an adoption plan. We
cannot imagine how difficult this time is for you, but we admire the courage and
selflessness that it takes to consider such an option. We hope that you find solace
with your decision and we hope that we have given you a little bit of insight
into who we are as a family. We are eager to open our home and hearts to more
children and we hope to bring another miracle into our lives.

We
love being parents and hope to give Sophia the chance to grow up with a brother
or sister. Paul, Sophia & Christa We
