Hi
we are Lisa, Anthony & David, We are very proud of the family that
we have become through adoption. Just over 2½ years ago, our son’s birthparents
made the selfless decision to make an adoption plan for David and changed our
lives forever! Our home is now bubbling over with the wonderful, noisy, happy
sounds of family. We are excited to share our story with you through these pictures
and words. Having already been through the adoptive process, we can sincerely
tell you that our hearts are open and ready to adopt again. |
A breath-taking view in Yosemite National Park | Our
beginning... We met each other when we were seniors in high
school and ‘clicked’ with each other right away. We dated throughout our college
years and married two years later. After a few years of focusing on our careers
and traveling, we decided that we were ready to become a family. We entered into
the adoption process with open minds & eager hearts. Now, with David in our home,
we are a happy family of three and eager to become a family of four (or more!).
We both have great relationships with our siblings. We wish for David to have
a little sister or brother to love as much as we love our sister & brothers. |

Our
story... Our lives changed forever when David came home! We
absolutely LOVE being parents and we are thoroughly enjoying the simple things
in life. David’s laugh, his voice, his personality...being his parents is a wonderful
adventure. Lisa has chosen to be a stay-at-home mom and is loving every minute
of it. She feels very grateful for this time at home and is looking forward to
staying at home with both children. Whether it’s a playgroup, trip to the zoo
or the library…our daily adventures will be twice as much fun with two children!
Anthony is always eager to come home from work to find out about the day’s adventures. |

Jessica We
feel very fortunate to have a healthy, comfortable relationship with Jess. If
you choose our family for your child, we look forward to building a relationship
that will be comfortable for all of us. |
Anthony makes the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree FUN! Anthony Anthony
is a quiet, mild-mannered man, but he can also be very silly & playful. He is
a very hands-on daddy getting right in there—from changing diapers & midnight
feedings to backyard adventures, he loves it all. When David hears Anthony’s car
pull into the driveway, his face lights up, & he runs to the door saying, “Daddy’s
home!” He has so much love in his heart that I am certain he will always be an
amazing dad & husband!

Lisa & David at the 2007 FIA Picnic Lisa Lisa
is a loving & patient woman and that makes her a great mom to David and wife for
me. Simply put, she is my best friend. The teacher in Lisa is always talking to
David, reading and helping him to explore. Her daily efforts clearly show in David’s
growth. When she has time, she likes to work on crafty projects like scrap-booking,
sewing or baking. Lisa makes our home a warm & loving place for children to grow
up in.

David At
just 2½ years old, David is smart, funny and just a very happy kid! He brings
such joy to our entire family. Our families & friends describe David as: cheerful,
creative, chatterbox, ham, little entertainer, snuggly, affectionate, love bug,
friendly, outgoing… You get the picture! He has such an upbeat personality that
he spends most days singing his favorite songs from morning ‘til night! When we
go out, whether it is to a store, church or anywhere else, he tends to turn heads
and make perfect strangers smile. Like any toddler, he’ll be unsure of a sibling
at first. But after some adjustment, we’re quite sure he’ll be excited to have
a little brother or sister to share his many adventures with! |
Sometimes you've got to get dirty to have fun! |

Home Sweet Home Our home
is located in a suburban neighborhood in a great location. We are surrounded by
many young families, playgrounds, bike trails and a state park. The house and
yard have been taken over by toys and kid-sized furniture and we couldn’t be happier
about that! We’re looking forward to bringing the baby things out of storage and
watching David interact with a little brother or sister. We often daydream about
our family’s future — years down the road — listening to our kids giggling and
playing in their bedroom. We imagine rainy days when they can build forts with
sheets and pillows & eat their lunch in their new hideaway. Anthony will be all
too happy to help the kids build some fabulous creation with Legos and the train
set! Our backyard is perfect for exploring, running and just plain being kids!

Snowy days, chilly noses, red cheeks...fresh cookies, hot cocoa...these
are the things childhood memories are made of! |
Family
time is the best time of all! We were both raised in tight-knit
families spending lots of time with our extended families. We wish for the same
kind of upbringing for our children. Both sets of grandparents live nearby and
we visit each other at least once a week. We spend tons of time with Auntie Mickey
and cousins Stephen & Emily. They live nearby and are always ready to play! Anthony’s
brother, John, lives several states away but we see each other at least twice
a year, sometimes more. |

Thank
you! As we sit down to create a profile for you, we can picture
you sitting at a table with a pile of profiles in front of you...smiling faces
of strangers staring back at you. As overwhelmed as you might be, we hope that
you can find comfort somewhere in our pictures and words. We don’t want to be
smiling strangers, but comfortable, familiar people that you can connect with.
We strongly believe in honoring our children’s birth histories and teaching them
to take pride in their adoption stories. David, at such a young age, already knows
that he is adopted and that his birthfamily loves him. We wish the same sense
of love and security for David’s little sister or brother. Our hearts are open
and ready. We’re excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for all of us!
We wish you well and hope that you find peace in your decision, whatever it might
be. Warmly, Lisa, David & Anthony We
