We would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves.

We realize considering an adoption plan for you and your baby is a very difficult decision and we want you to know we have the utmost respect for you whatever you decide. We hope this profile gives you a sense of who we both are. We look forward to working with you if an adoption plan is your decision.

Keith

I was raised in a small suburb of New York very close to where I live now. I have one brother who is married with a beautiful baby girl. Both my brother’s family and my parents live about 20 minutes away from us and we visit them often.

I am a partner and manager for a large swimming pool company. I enjoy the busy season we have at the store in the summer and feel fortunate to have a lot of time off in the winter. The pool company is the perfect complement to Peter’s teaching schedule, where he has a lot of time off in the summers. For this reason,we will be able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with our child!

One of my favorite summertime activities is working in the garden. I’m proud to have the greenest lawn on the block! My dad often tells me one of his fondest memories of my childhood was me pulling my little red wagon full of weeds while helping him in the garden. I can’t wait to work in the garden with our child and share that same experience.

When the gardening is done,we can take a trip to grandma’s house and go for a dip in the pool. First I will teach our child the rules of pool safety. When we are done, I can’t wait to teach him or her how to jump off the diving board, make a cannonball, and go down the slide.

For as long as we can remember,we have both wanted children. We talk about it often and can’t wait to extend our family through adoption. We have been together for many years and raising a child together is something we are so very eager to do! We have been uncles to our four nieces for a while and can’t wait to introduce them to a new cousin.

I have two sisters. Between the two of them, they have given us three beautiful nieces and they love to spend time with their uncles. My mom and both sisters live close by. We travel to the Bronx Zoo, riding on the camels and elephants, take day trips to the local beach, and trips to Florida to visit my grandparents.

In the summer we take all the nieces to a water park nearby our home.We both go up and down the slides all day with the kids, splashing and running to get to the next ride. By the end of the day we are all upset that we have to leave and look forward to returning the next year!

One of the best memories I have of my childhood was when my mother would sing songs to us. On day trips she would delight us by singing in the car and we would have the best time with her. When we adopt our child my mom can’t wait to babysit and sing to her new grandchild. I am blessed to have family in France and have visited them many times.Keith and I can’t wait to travel to France so our extended family can meet our new child!

One of my favorite things to do is go to a baseball game. Growing up, I would go all the time with my friend Brian. I can’t wait to toss a ball in the yard with my son or daughter, and then head off to the stadium to experience the excitement of the game.

It's almost time to go swimming.

I am an elementary school teacher, and love working with children. The best experience I have had in the classroom was when I was working with my first grade class on spelling words. They were having problems remembering the words so I brought in shaving cream, smeared it flat on the tables, and had the students write the words with the shaving cream. They loved it. It was one of the best spelling word review lessons I have ever done! Just to see the look in their little eyes when they took their spelling test and thought back to the shaving cream was the best feeling.

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. Being an elementary teacher has allowed me to collect many children’s books. I can’t wait to bring them home and get lost in the many imaginary worlds children’s books have to offer with our child.

About Us

We love to travel.Whether it’s spending time on the beach in Fort Lauderdale or exploring Niagara Falls,we always have a wonderful time together. One of our first trips was to the Bahamas. We stayed at Atlantis and we both went up and down the water slides all day.We are big kids at heart and can’t wait to travel with our child and share these wonderful experiences with them.We live about an hour away from New York City and like to visit often. We love to go in for dinner, see Broadway shows, the tree at Rockefeller Plaza, and museums. One of the greatest experiences was to see the look in Caitlyn’s eyes (Peter’s niece) when she saw Santa Claus come on stage at the end of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

About Peter, by Keith

Peter and I were introduced through a mutual friend and we quickly became best friends. One of my favorite times of the day is to hear him tell me about his experiences as an elementary teacher. One day he told me about the volcanoes he made erupt in class. You could see the excitement in his eyes as he told me about the looks on the kids faces when they saw the fake lava flow over the top.

I think Peter is going to be a great dad.Knowing how he is with the kids in his class gives me a great foreshadowing of how he will be as a father. He is one of the most nurturing people I know.

About Keith, by Peter

Keith is absolutely the warmest and gentlest partner anyone could ask for. I feel blessed to have had him step into my life. Keith and I have always wanted a large family and now the time is right. We cannot wait to hear the pitter patter of little feet on the floors.Keith is an amazing uncle to our four nieces and I know he will make an amazing father!

Our home.

Home

Our home is in a cul-de-sac at the end of a dead end street in a quiet neighborhood. We are a short drive from all the experiences NewYork City has to offer and about five miles from the ocean. We look forward to planning day trips as a family of three.

We have a large back yard (our parents already have plans to build a swing set) and a finished basement perfect for converting into a playroom. When the weather is warm, the hills of our backyard are perfect for rolling down with giggles, tossing a Frisbee or sharing fun in the sun with a sprinkler!

Family and Friends

Our families are very close.Since our home is large,we often host the holidays.Cooking for Thanksgiving is our favorite. There are people all over the house, usually around 30 of us! Once our bellies are full,we light a fire, play games, watch movies, and talk for hours. However,we don’t need a holiday to bring us together.Since both of our families are close by,we get together often. There is seldom a week that goes by when we aren’t over one of our brother’s or sister’s homes or they are over here.We often babysit for our nieces and godchildren and there are many sleep overs to be had, which they all look forward to.Our child would spend a lot of time with a large extended family, and would have a lot of play time with nieces who range from age one to seven. Our family is growing all over, and there are plans for new cousins in the future!

Thank You

We would like to thank you again for taking the time to get to know us. If you decide an adoption plan is best for you and your baby, we hope you consider us. We will be sure to tell our child the story of his or her adoption and what a special, caring, and giving person his or her birth mother is.
