Hi! We
are John and Kristin, and we are so humbled that you are taking some time to get
to know us and our families. In our hearts we can’t imagine what you must be going
through as you decide whether adoption is the right choice for you and your child.
We admire your selflessness, and we hope that you will consider us as adoptive
parents for your child.We both truly believe that everyday is a gift, and we will
work hard to listen, learn and grow along with your child. We are committed in
our love and marriage and would be blessed to share that with you and your child.

About Us
Life is Not Predictable You need to understand
your core values will help you make the right decisions… To a casual observer
our relationship may look like a mismatch,one with three young adult aged children
and the other with no children… Both from different generations… Both
from different up bringing… But, you can’t predict friendship or love…
Life doesn’t fit into a neat little box with a bow… Life has many
right hand turns… We started as friends,helped each other through tough
times and one day fell in love with each other… |

John
by Kristin What I love about John is the way that he can simply “light up
a room” with his smile and laugh. He makes me want to be a better person.I have
been blessed to call John my best friend for well over 10 years.Whether we are
walking hand in hand sitting by the pool or ocean,he is my pal.We can talk very
easily together and the love and respect I have for him is unbelievable. John
has been blessed with raising three adult children who,with his guidance,have
grown up to be vibrant and loving. They are so excited to get to know and
play with a brother or sister. John is very successful in his profession as a
lobbyist and enjoys the opportunity to get to meet a wide variety of people. John
can hardly wait to teach our child the game of golf! Golf is one of John’s passions.He
also loves swimming and spending time by the water.I am sure some major sand castles
are in the future. He is the most fun loving patient man I know and he is excited
about loving, nurturing and raising a new baby –with of course a whole lot of
laughter! |

| Kristin
by John Kristin is a wonderful, caring and compassionate woman whose zest
for life is so appealing. She is a kind and considerate partner but more importantly
a beloved and trusted friend. What I truly love about Kristin is that she has
an open mind and can empathize with others because she is a great listener. Our
child will benefit greatly from her caring ways. During those quiet times; such
as when we take our walk throughout the neighborhood,Kristin talks about the desire
to be a Mom.She believes that is one of the greatest gifts God can bestow on a
person…and I know that shewill be a wonderful parent. |

Family
& Friends Kristin grew up in Rhode Island not far from the ocean and
that is where her parents still reside. She is the oldest of three and has fond
memories of goofing off at the beach and playing hide and seek in the yard. Since
no one lives near each other, the family get togethers during the holidays take
on an added importance.The dinner table is where the action is with warm conversations
and gentle ribbing but always second helpings and way toomuch dessert! John
has raised three children who have grown into incredible young adults.The oldest
resides in upstate NewYork while the other two live in Baltimore and Honolulu.When
the kids were growing up the house was a beehive of activity centered around chores,homework
and sports. There were many special occasions that were extremely enjoyable and
provided much laughter.John was raised in a large Irish Catholic family which
provided a strong sense of self worth and purpose. |

We
live in a comfortable home in upstate New York.Our large backyard is already setup
with a swing set.We are so proud of our community and neighbors.We have children
of all ages riding around on bikes and tricycles.We have a community pool which
we all enjoy on hot summer days.Also, there is an ice-cream truck that stops outside
our front door on cue every evening. Every 4th of July, our neighborhood puts
on a fantastic parade and in the fall we are confronted with scary costumes on
Halloween. We live in one of the state’s top school districts.We
are fortunate that the school bus picks up and drops off the neighborhood kids
right in front of our house. We also enjoy spending leisure
time by the pool or on the golf course, and with friends at our country club.
Activities and laughter are so important in our home and families.
I look forward to the day when John’s son Matt teaches your child how to hit a
golf ball – he is very good! All three of John’s adult children have spoken about
throwing a ball and pushing a swing set. My parents are anxiously awaiting“goofing”
off with a grandchild “light hearted and fancy free” Kristin’s sister Lori talks
about teaching him or her how to swim– she knows all the strokes and is very fast!
No matter what activities, gatherings, or outings occur our
families have expressed on numerous occasions how wonderful it will be to see
new expressions through your child’s eyes.The wonder, the hope, and the laughter
are awaited by all! |
