Getting to Know Us

We have been together over 10 years and were married in 2004, and are very much in love. It is our greatest wish to share and expand that love by having a family. We are looking forward to experiencing the joys of life with our children - the excitement of holidays and vacations, playing tag and hide and seek, cuddling up on the couch, learning to read or tie your shoelaces…..we are so excited to share in all of the wonderful experiences to come!

We are best friends and enjoy spending time together because we always have so much fun! As a couple, our greatest strengths are our open and honest communication and the fact that we have quite different personalities. Each of us is a better person because of the influence of the other. We are both lucky enough to work from home and have lots of flexibility in our schedules which will allow us to be there for every school play, soccer game or dance recital. Hilary is so excited to be a stay at home Mom!

We believe in the importance of daily gestures that express love in everyday moments such as saying “I love you” before going to sleep, snuggling on the couch together to watch a movie, or holding hands while taking a walk. We also love spending time with our friends and family. Many have young children so there will be plenty of playmates for our child. We enjoy going to Hilton Head Island every summer and visiting the beach, going to baseball games with Hilary’s Dad (Yankees vs. Red Sox is the best!) and spending time relaxing at the pool with our friends and family. Our favorite thing to do together is to travel. It is so exciting to visit new places and explore a new culture, its food and history. We can't wait to see our child’s wonder and excitement at seeing the world!

We also value the importance of education and will be there to support your child in school, extracurricular and community activities. He or she will be encouraged to pursue their interests, develop their passions, and reach for their dreams – and we will be there with love, support and guidance along the way. Our goal is for your child to be a happy, well-adjusted person who is able to share their opinions, explore life’s options, and become a loving and self-confident individual.

About Hilary by Jeff

Hilary will make an excellent mother as she has a tremendous amount of love to give. Hilary and I have always been best friends which is the key to our relationship. After being together for more than 10 years, I think it is very important that we still have this closeness no matter what we are doing. Every day, just waking up knowing Hilary will be there, guarantees that it will be a great day. Hilary has always loved children and can often be found sitting on the floor building with blocks or dressing up and pretending to be a princess with the many children in our lives. When I met her, she was studying to be an elementary school teacher and she can literally light up a classroom. I have always known she was meant to be a Mother. She cannot wait to share her love and experiences with a new child.

I think if I had to describe Hilary in one word, I would have to say passionate. She puts her heart and soul into everything that is important to her. She can be found advocating for animal rights, as she adores animals, or planning a day out with a blanket and a bag of sandwiches for a picnic. Hilary loves playing ball with Brie, shopping, interior design, reading and going to the beach. Her joy of the small things in life is one of the things I love best about her!

About Jeff by Hilary

Jeff is an amazing man; funny, smart, supportive, affectionate and kind. I am so blessed to spend every day of my life with him. He has a heart of gold and would be there in an instant if someone needed his help. He has so much patience, and I feel very safe and secure with him. I love him for so many reasons, but most of all because he wants to be a Dad more than anything. He puts his all into everything, both personally and professionally which is one thing I truly admire about him. I can share anything with him and know that he will listen with an open mind and heart. Jeff treats me as his equal and always does what’s best for us as a family.

Jeff can be found in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for dinner (he makes the best meatballs!) or taking Brie for a long walk in the park. He enjoys history, swimming, home repair projects and playing Wii. He often says how he can’t wait to share his interests with our children one day.

Our Home

We have a wonderful home and live in a very family oriented neighborhood. We have an open kitchen and dining area, a living room with a fireplace and a finished basement with plenty of room to play. Our home has four bedrooms, a fenced-in backyard with a pool, a big deck and a grill for lots of summer barbeques. Our neighborhood is filled with children playing ball and riding their bikes up and down the street. We are fortunate to be surrounded by many close friends and family with young children, some of which have joined their families through adoption. We love to socialize and have our friends and family over to our house. There is always laughter, tons of food and everyone has a fantastic time.

Our Home

Meet Brie

We have a five year old miniature poodle named Brie. She is very friendly, funny and loyal and has brought so much joy into our lives. Brie loves to chase balls around the house, take longs naps and relax in the sunlight. All our friends and family love to play and cuddle with Brie. She is a very special member of our family!

Our Family

We are lucky to have our family live so close to us. We see them often for dinner or just a quick visit. Our parents are excited for us to become parents and look forward to being first time grandparents! We look to our parents as role models and hope to use the values we were taught to raise our children. Both of our families are excited and extremely supportive of our decision to adopt. There are dozens of cousins, nephews, aunts, uncles and grandparents, waiting with open arms to welcome a child into our family.

We are committed to raising your child with unconditional love and are dedicated to providing them with a childhood full of happy memories. We promise your child will always be supported and nurtured as they grow into the person they were destined to be. We plan to encourage your child to be a strong, independent, happy and responsible individual, as we were taught as children. We also promise that your child will always know of the loving choice you made.

We feel it is important to tell your child about you, especially the important things you will share with us now and in the future. Your child will be raised feeling proud of who they are and will always know that the decision you made was one of love. We promise that a child placed into our arms will be raised with love and respect and an understanding of the miracle that created our family. We promise that he or she will know that your plan for adoption was made because of your love and commitment to providing them the best possible future.

We have tried to give you a snapshot of our life, but there is only so much that we can express on paper or that can be seen in a photo.
